Zach LaVine would take offensive pressure off Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic

Luka has to do it all for the Mavs this season. They need another ball-handler and playmaker after the departure of Jalen Brunson. Someone that can take pressure off Doncic and just get buckets.

Spencer Dinwiddie has been outstanding since joining the Mavericks, but he is best suited as a third guard and sixth man. The Mavs front office is searching for an unquestioned second star that can score 25 every night.

Over the last four seasons combined, LaVine has averaged 25.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game, while shooting 47.4 percent from the field, 83.3 percent on his free throws, and 39.3 percent from beyond the 3-point line. He is capable of getting buckets from anywhere on the floor, and he would immediately improve the Mavericks' current free-throw woes.

LaVine can break down the defense or be a catch-and-shoot option playing off Doncic. His 3-point shooting and ability to attack closeouts would give the Mavericks' offense some added juice and make them even more dangerous. Teams would have to make impossible decisions, and LaVine could feast when the opposition sells out to stop Luka.

Zach LaVine is no stranger to putting up monster numbers, but would he help the Dallas Mavericks become an annual title contender?
