The Dallas Mavericks are down 3-0 to the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals as little has gone right in this series. Dallas found a recipe for success, but poor shooting, defensive struggles, and rebounding issues have them on the verge of being eliminated on May 24.
Luka Doncic has scored 40-plus in two straight games, but the Mavs have zero wins to show for it. Golden State has made every drive difficult in this series, and they are forcing the role players around Luka to defeat them. So far, the strategy is working as Dallas has shot just 32.6 percent on 138 3-point attempts in this series.
Game 4 takes place on Tuesday night at the American Airlines Center, and the Dubs would like nothing more than to sweep the Mavericks in Dallas. No matter the result, it has been an incredible season for the Mavs, but nobody wants to get swept. Expect some extra energy on May 24, but how can they avoid losing a fourth straight game?
How can Dallas Mavericks win Game 4 vs. Warriors to avoid getting swept
It will take a team effort to defeat Golden State. In Game 3, Luka had 40 as Spencer Dinwiddie chipped in 26 and Jalen Brunson had 20. The rest of the roster scored just 14 points on five of 27 shooting from the field. Doncic needs more help if they are going to avoid being swept on Tuesday night.
Beyond that, here are three things that must happen for the Dallas Mavericks to take Game 4 and send the series back to San Francisco for Game 5.
