Will the Dallas Mavericks trade Tim Hardaway Jr. this offseason?
There is no guarantee either way. The Mavs front office will canvas the market as they attempt to upgrade their roster. Luka Doncic is the only untouchable Maverick this offseason, and Tim Hardaway Jr. will certainly be discussed in talks. Will it lead to a deal? Time will tell.
Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer made it clear that he thinks the Mavericks will make a significant upgrade to their rotation this offseason. He noted it is unlikely to be a second star, but will be starting-caliber option. To acquire that piece, the Mavs will likely have to move on from THJ.
The odds of a Tim Hardaway Jr. trade this offseason sit at about 60-40 with the higher probability that he stays in Dallas. The Mavericks could deal Spencer Dinwiddie or Davis Bertans as that mid-tier salary filler. They would prefer to keep Dinwiddie because of his ball-handling and playmaking abilities with Bertans being the preferred trade chip, but his limited on-court value makes Hardaway Jr. the most likely to be dealt.
Can the Dallas Mavericks make a significant roster upgrade this offseason? They are going to be active and aggressive in trade talks, and fans will have to wait to see what goes down.
