Dallas Mavericks trade deadline target: 2. Jerami Grant

Grant is one of the top names expected to be moved before the Feb. 10 trade deadline. The 6’8 forward is the perfect fit on any contending team because he can offer scoring, floor spacing, defensive versatility, and rebounding. Grant can even handle the ball and create shots when necessary.

His efficiency dipped after signing with the Pistons to be their number one scoring option. Grant is best suited as a number three or four scorer that can impact the game on both ends of the floor. The Mavs are rumored to be interested in the 27-year-old forward and offer the perfect situation. Dallas needs another 15-point per game scorer that will compete hard on defense.

Trading for Jerami Grant would mean parting ways with Jalen Brunson or Dorian Finney-Smith. The Mavericks do not have enough draft capital to make a suitable package based solely on that. Rumors suggest they plan on keeping both JB and Doe-Doe, so fans should not expect to see Grant land in Dallas.

Will the Detroit Pistons trade Jerami Grant before Feb. 10? What do they get in return for the 6’8 forward? It is one of the big storylines to watch at the 2022 trade deadline.
