Ranking Dallas Mavericks roster from most to least likely to stay: Untouchables

There is just one untouchable player on the Mavs roster.

13. Luka Doncic

The only way Dallas would entertain trading Doncic would be if he asked to be moved, and the 23-year-old superstar is not doing that any time soon. He has a strong bond with head coach Jason Kidd and his teammates. Doncic was likely sad to see Boban Marjanovic depart in the Christian Wood trade, but he knew it was necessary to improve their roster.

No trade offer for Luka would even be listened to at this point. The Mavericks just reached the Western Conference Finals, and the 23-year-old superstar is on pace to go down as one of the all-time greats. Teams can call Dallas to make an offer, but it likely ends with Nico Harrison quickly hanging up and laughing.

Luka Doncic will stay in Dallas for as long as he wants to, and the young superstar is committed to making the Mavericks great in the short and long term.

The front office would entertain moving every other player if they thought it meant improving their roster. They are not done making moves this offseason, but the next group of players are crucial to their success.
