Meet Dallas Mavericks Las Vegas Summer League roster: Moses Wright- F

The Mavs signed Wright to a two-way contract in February after he dominated the G League for the Agua Caliente Clippers early in the season. The 6’9 forward was even better with the Texas Legends where he averaged 22.4 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 33.6 minutes per game. Wright shot 53.1 percent from the field and 38.2 percent on his threes over the 12 games.

The 23-year-old went undrafted in 2021 and saw just 14 minutes of NBA action as a rookie split between the Clippers and Mavericks. He was impressive in the G League, but Wright is still waiting for his shot at the next level.

Wright’s 3-point shooting is something to watch. He played four years at Georgia Tech where he hit just 23.0 percent from deep, but he was 12 of 29 as a senior. Last season over his 44 G League contests, Wright made 39.0 percent of his 105 3-point tries. The 6’9 forward is slowly transforming into a stretch four, and he should improve the Mavs spacing in Vegas.

Moses Wright will see time at the four and five during the summer league, and fans should expect to see some monster performances as he fights for an NBA opportunity. The 23-year-old showcased plenty of potential in Frisco, and he will look to build on that in Vegas.
