Dallas Mavericks cannot miss game: 3. Mavs at Knicks on Jan. 12

The Knicks always bring a bit of extra edge against Dallas, and the New York fans want nothing more than to see Kristaps Porzingis lose. They savagely booed the Unicorn in his return to Madison Square Garden in Nov. 2019, and the Mavs big man should expect similar treatment in the team’s lone trip to NYC this season.

There is still bad blood from the Jan. 2019 trade that saw Porzingis head to Dallas. KP was the face of the Knicks, and fans have not forgiven him for wanting out. New York made the playoffs last seasonand is a strong defensive team under Tom Thibodeau. They present a difficult match for both the Unicorn and the Mavericks.

Dallas signed Reggie Bullock away from the Knicks this summer. The 6’6 wing choosing to come to Dallas just adds another wrinkle of intrigue as the two teams face off in New York.

Dallas has lost three of their last four meetings against the Knicks. There should be another packed house at Madison Square Garden ready to root on the home team. Kristaps Porzingis will be searching for a bit of revenge on his former team as the two sides tangle in a heated game.

Fans will not want to miss the Dallas Mavericks facing the Knicks in New York. It will be one of the loudest regular-season crowds of the year and should help prepare Luka Doncic and company for the playoffs.
