5 under-the-radar trade targets for the Dallas Mavericks before the 2023 deadline

Under-the-radar Dallas Mavericks trade target: 2. Malik Beasley
Beasley was sent to Utah in the Rudy Gobert trade this offseason where he has settled as a reserve guard in a deep backcourt. He is still playing 26.7 minutes per game as he averages 13.9 points, 3.5 assists, and 0.9 steals per game. The 6'4 guard is a scorer that can come in and get buckets, which the Mavericks need in the second unit next to Spencer Dinwiddie.
Jake Fischer reported that the Jazz are expected to be sellers at the deadline, and the team has already received calls on Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt. The Yahoo Sports scribe noted that Utah plans to keep Jordan Clarkson. It will be interesting to see how active the Jazz are and who they end up trading before the deadline.
Malik Beasley is the type of player that could take a significant step forward in Dallas playing off Luka Doncic. He would have to be bought in on the defensive end of the floor, but the 26-year-old should be entering his prime. Beasley’s a career 38.1 percent 3-point shooter that has shown flashes as a scorer and rebounder. Dallas needs both, and he should get plenty of open looks as number 77 draws the defense.
What will the Jazz get for Malik Beasley before the Feb. 9 trade deadline? Do they move him as Utah continues to reshape its roster after the Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert trades in the offseason? The Jazz are a team to watch closely.
