How does Bojan Bogdanovic fit on the Dallas Mavericks?

The Mavs put a second ball-handler, two 3-and-D wings, and a stretch five around Luka Doncic on their way to the conference finals last season. It allowed them to maximize the space for their superstar to attack and improved their defense. Dorian Finney-Smith and Reggie Bullock rarely came off the floor because head coach Jason Kidd did not trust the options behind them.

Bogdanovic would be the perfect fit next to Doncic. The 6’7 forward is a career 39.2 percent 3-point shooter that has averaged 18.3 points per game over the last four seasons combined. He can defend multiple positions and makes an impact on both ends of the floor.

The 33-year-old is on a $19.5 million expiring contract. He would give the Mavs another option capable of scoring 18 points per game and defending multiple positions. Bogdanovic offers shot creation and floor spacing that Dallas needs around number 77. He would be a near-perfect fit, but there are complications.

The Dallas Mavericks would have to trade Tim Hardaway Jr. to the Utah Jazz to open up minutes for Bogdanovic. Would the veteran forward provide a large enough upgrade to consider giving up a first-round pick?
