2022 NBA Draft mock #6: Cleveland Cavaliers: Patrick Baldwin Jr.

The Cavaliers look to have hit on Evan Mobley in the 2021 NBA Draft and have a massive hole on their roster on the wing. Expect them to be in the market for one of the top ones in this draft. The group here is large, and how they perform this season will go a significant way in determining their order.

Baldwin Jr. decided to play for his dad in Milwaukee, instead of joining a major college program. The 18-year-old will need to be far and away be the best player in the Horizon League if he wants to be drafted in the top five come June.

The 6’9 forward is packed with two-way potential. He was a key contributor to Team USA’s FIBA Under-19 gold medal team this year, and his ability to space the floor and work off the dribble has scouts intrigued. Baldwin Jr. is a plus athlete with a beautiful shooting stroke that will be looking to expand his game during what expects to be his lone college season.

The Cleveland Cavaliers would love to add some shooting on the wings, and Patrick Baldwin Jr. has the size and athletic ability to be a plus defende, which makes him a strong all-around fit.
