2022 NBA Draft mock #19: New York Knicks: Roko Prkacin
Prkacin is arguably the most experienced player in the 2022 NBA Draft class as he is in his fourth professional season in Spain. The 18-year-old is a 6’9 forward with an NBA-ready body that was almost part of the 2021 draft.
Prkacin has already played in 14 games this season, and he is averaging 10.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 26.7 minutes per game for KK Cibona. He has shot 35.5 percent over his last 203 3-point attempts, and the 6’9 forward has a versatile skill set.
Prakcin can handle the ball a bit, and he profiles a tertiary creator. His perimeter defense will be the key to him being selected in the lottery. If he knocks down 35 percent of his threes and defends well on the perimeter, every team will be lining up to draft him.
The New York Knicks are going to focus on defense and playing hard under coach Tom Thibodeau. Prakcin would give them some shooting, and the perfect system to sure up his defensive potential. The 18-year-old forward is one of the top international draft prospects this year, and fans should keep a close eye on his play in Spain.
