Free agent still available Dallas Mavericks should target: 3. Danny Green

The Mavs quickly swooped in and agreed to a deal with Reggie Bullock, but a team can never have too many shooters. Green is arguably a better defender than Bullock, and he has won three championship rings. Teams should be lining up to sign Green after helping the Lakers win the title in 2020 before coming right back and assisting the 76ers to the best record in the Eastern Conference.

Danny Green is a winner. He will never be a flashy player. The 35-year-old is the perfect example of a role player. Green competes hard on both ends of the floor, knocks down shots, and can play stout perimeter defense. He 100 percent classifies as an upgrade for the Mavericks.

Finding a 3-and-D wing is difficult. Agreeing to a deal with one that has three rings is nearly impossible. Green is likely to sign at or above the mid-level exception. The Dallas Mavericks can quickly create a space for him or anybody else, but will they do it?

The Dallas Mavericks had an interest in Danny Green in the past. He brings leadership, experience, and impact play on both ends of the floor. Green is a solid target for any contending team looking for shooting and defense.
