Free-agent that pairs well with Dallas Mavericks star Kristaps Porzingis: 1. Kyle Lowry
Lowry is one of the prized free agents this summer. The six-time All-Star can do it all on the offensive end of the floor. He averaged 17.2 points, 7.3 assists, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.0 steal in 34.8 minutes per game last season. Lowry shot 43.6 percent from the field, 39.6 percent on his threes, and 87.5 percent from the line.
The 35-year-old would have no issues running pick and rolls with Porzingis. The Unicorn cuts to the basket well, and Lowry has the vision to find him. The Mavs could look to exploit that more next season. Adding a veteran that led the Raptors to a championship in 2019 who can play on or off the ball would vault Dallas into the title picture.
Lowry competes hard on defense and more than holds his own against the NBA’s best ball-handlers. The 6’0 point guard would be an upgrade on this end of the floor too.
