John Collins is the best free-agent power forward Dallas Mavericks can sign

The power forward class is also weak. Paul Millsap, Kelly Olynyk, and P.J. Tucker highlight the unrestricted free agents. They are the only three starting options on the board. The two best players at the position are restricted free agents in John Collins and Lauri Markkanen.

There were plenty of questions about the Hawks re-signing Collins around the trade deadline. To do so and give Trae Young a rookie max extension, Atlanta will need to go deep into the luxury tax. Are they willing to spend that kind of money? The Hawks advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals likely means they will match on Collins and run it back next season.

The 23-year-old is the best power forward on the market. He averaged 17.6 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks in 29.3 minutes per game during the regular season. Collins shot 55.6 percent from the field, 39.9 percent on his threes, and 83.3 percent from the foul line.

He scored over 19 points a night during his second and third seasons in the league. John Collins is an offensive force that will have plenty of suitors this summer. Can some team pry him away from the Hawks? Stay tuned.
