djustment to expect in Game 3 of Dallas Mavericks vs. Clippers: 1. Luka and KP PnR

The Mavs have run two pick and rolls featuring Kristaps Porzingis as the screener in the first two games. Expect that to change significantly if LA goes small. The Clippers will have five like-sized players on the court and be looking to switch everything. It will allow the Mavericks to feast.

Luka Doncic can bring Kristaps Porzingis into the pick and roll to run arguably the team’s most dangerous set. The Unicorn has the ability to both roll to the rim or pop out for a 3-pointer. The defense has to account for so much when Porzingis is the roll man.

Dallas has gone away from it so far because the Clippers have put Kawhi Leonard on KP. Bringing him into the pick and roll would likely leave LA’s best defender switched on Luka. Porzingis needs to be more active and aggressive if the Clippers go small, though. He will have a significant height advantage and must make LA pay for their choice to downsize.

Next. Should Mavs worry about the defense of Kristaps Porzingis?

The Dallas Mavericks have the chance to go up 3-0 on Friday night in front of a nearly packed American Airlines Center crowd. It is going to be an raucous crowd that should give the players plenty of energy and excitement. Do not miss what promises to be a wild and entertaining Game 3.
