2021 NBA Draft mock #4: Oklahoma City Thunder: Jalen Green

The Thunder slip one spot back to fourth, but hold an incredible wealth of future picks. They could have 19 first-round selections before 2027. Oklahoma City has traded for a host of second-round picks too. The Thunder control the draft and could move anywhere they want to select the players they covet.

OKC is happy to take Jalen Green here. The 19-year-old bypassed the NCAA and played for the G League Ignite this season. In his 15 games inside the bubble, Green averaged 17.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.5 steals. He shot 46.1 percent from the field and 36.5 percent on his threes against professional competition.

The 6’5 guard has scoring and playmaking ability, coupled with tremendous athleticism. He can jump out of the gym and is a nightmare to stop in transition. Green likely would have been the number one pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

Some knock him for his isolation-heavy game, but Jalen Green has all the skills to be a force in the NBA. It will be interesting to see if his year in the G League makes him ready to be a massive contributor right away. The 19-year-old has a slight frame but features All-NBA potential if things come together.
