2021 NBA Draft mock #30: Utah Jazz: Aaron Henry
Aaron Henry just finished his third season at Michigan State, and he has improved each year. The 21-year-old produced 15.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.3 blocks in 32.5 minutes per game as a junior. He was named to the Big Ten’s All-Defensive team as well.
Henry’s shooting is a question mark. He has connected on just 33.3 percent of his 210 career NCAA 3-point attempts. His percentage declined each season. The 21-year-old will have to make significant strides with his jump shot to be a role player on most teams.
Henry is listed at 6’6 and 210 pounds. He has plenty of athleticism and size to be a plus NBA defender in time. Expect a slow start, but Henry has all the tools to be an impactful rotation player for a decade-plus.
The Utah Jazz add a depth piece with the final pick in the first round. Aaron Henry could grow into a capable starter on a winning team. Utah takes the shot that they can make it happen.
The 2021 NBA Draft is chock-full of intriguing prospects. Expect a wild and entertaining event on July 29. Fans will not want to miss it.
