Player at risk of getting squeezed from Dallas Mavericks playoff rotation: 3. Trey Burke

Burke has played the fourth-most games on the Mavericks roster this season. That comes as a surprise after he fell out of the rotation entirely in April, but Burke has worked his way back in. He has played in eight straight where the 28-year-old guard is averaging 8.9 points and 0.9 steals in 18.2 minutes a night.

Burke can come off the bench and get buckets at any moment. He proved that against the Heat on May 4 after he sat the first three quarters only to come in and score five key points in the fourth to help the Mavs win. Burke has made his case to be in the playoff rotation over the last eight games.

Coach Rick Carlisle has plenty of options, though. Burke is battling Josh Green and J.J. Redick for that final spot in the rotation. The matchup could dictate which player grabs it. If Dallas needs another shooter, Redick is getting the call.

Burke is the most likely option of the three to earn the minutes right now. He proved he can make a massive playoff impact inside the bubble. Expect coach Carlisle to give a second chance this season.
