Takeaway from Dallas Mavericks win over Spurs: 2. KP dominates
There should be no questions about Kristaps Porzingis’ health now. The Unicorn has scored over 20 points in four straight. He was outstanding in San Antonio, and the Spurs had no answer for him. Porzingis finished with 21 points, eight rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two blocks in 33 minutes of action. He shot seven of 14 from the field including making three 3-pointers and all four of his free throws. The Mavs had a 24-point advantage in KP’s 33 minutes on the floor too.
Dallas used Porzingis more in the post against the Spurs. Tim MacMahon asked coach Carlisle about it postgame. Fans can see his response below.
KP is a dominant big man that continues to expand his game and flourish in the Mavericks system. He was outstanding during the Walt Disney World restart, but expect the best version yet this season. Porzingis impacts the game on both ends of the floor and can take over any night.
Expect Kristaps Porzingis to continue to build on this hot streak. He will be key in the Dallas Mavericks making a deep playoff run this season. The best is yet to come from KP.
