2020 NBA Draft mock 5.0: First 31 picks in early October

2020 NBA Draft mock #15: Orlando Magic- Cole Anthony
Add Cole Anthony to the list of players that are difficult to project at this stage. He entered the season as a top-five pick, but injuries and poor shooting placed his stock in limbo. Some experts still have Anthony going in the top ten, while others drop him well into the 20s. It will come down to how much a team believes they can fix his jumper.
Anthony was productive during his lone season at the University of North Carolina. He averaged 18.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.3 steals in 34.9 minutes per over 22 games. Things turn sour when realizing that he shot 38.0 percent from the field and 34.8 percent on his 3-pointers. The Tar Heels also finished under .500 for the first time since 2002. They were 10-12 with Anthony in the lineup.
The Magic seem like the perfect team to take a swing on Cole Anthony. The 20-year-old can score the ball and make plays for others. That at worst has sixth man written all over it. Orlando could use a player that can get buckets off the bench. The hope is Anthony improves his defense, instincts, and shot selection on his way to becoming a starting point guard in the NBA.
