Will the Dallas Mavericks sign Fred VanVleet this offseason?

This is always the most difficult question to answer because it all comes down to the market. VanVleet will certainly get some massive offers this offseason. The Mavericks should be interested at four-years $80 million, but $100 million is an overpay. That would make VanVleet harder to move if they fit did not come together.

Odd the Dallas Mavericks acquire Fred VanVleet this offseason: 10 percent

Never say never. The Mavs would have to trade for VanVleet to make it happen. That does not seem likely as Dallas would be sacrificing its depth.

They will likely use the mid-level exception, explore trading their draft picks for more immediate help, and fill out their roster on minimum deals this offseason. That sets the Mavericks up to go big fish hunting in 2021.

Regardless, the Dallas Mavericks will be an improved team in the season ahead. Luka Doncic will come back with a few new wrinkles to his game. Kristaps Porzingis is going to be healthy and firing on all cylinders. The role players are set to take another step forward too. The future is bright and exciting times are ahead in Dallas, so fans should keep it locked right here.
