Dallas Mavericks: 8 possible trades that make them title contenders

Trade that makes Dallas Mavericks title contenders: 7. Get Dinwiddie from Nets
Brooklyn is a team to watch this offseason. They hired Steve Nash to be their head coach. The Nets have Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving returning from injury. They plan on being title contenders next season. Brooklyn needs to find the pieces around their two superstars.
Spencer Dinwiddie, Caris LeVert, and Jarrett Allen could all be made available as the team attempts to solidify its roster. The Nets need defenders and role players that mesh with KD and Kyrie.
The Mavericks could attempt to capitalize on that by grabbing Spencer Dinwiddie. The 27-year-old guard averaged 20.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 6.8 assists in 31.2 minutes per game this season. Dinwiddie is a career 31.8 percent 3-point shooter but gives Dallas the secondary creator they desire. He could also run the second unit.
Dorian Finney-Smith is a starting-caliber forward that plays defense and does not command the ball. Delon Wright would also be comfortable off the ball making plays on D. Even with a first-round pick, it might not be enough to grab Dinwiddie, but the Nets are a team in transition that could be looking to make moves this offseason. Keep an eye on them.
