Why Dallas Mavericks should sign Goran Dragic: 1. Fit with Luka

The Mavs would have to be smart here. They want to maintain cap space for 2021. Signing a 34-year-old point guard to a long-term deal does not seem wise. Getting him for next season at a reasonable price would be, though.

Goran Dragic would fit seemingly with the Dallas Mavericks because of his friendship with Luka Doncic. The two have years of experience playing together for the Slovenian National Team. Fans can see the highlights of the two dominating in EuroBasket 2017 below.

Supporters should be hyped after seeing that highlight package. Imagine Dragic running the Mavericks second unit too. Coach Carlisle has helped J.J. Barea dominate those minutes for years. Adding in Dragic would make the Mavericks difficult to stop at any point in the game. They would have multiple ball-handlers always on the floor plus two players capable of breaking down any defense.

The Dallas Mavericks have some difficult decisions on their hands in the coming months. Finding the right pieces to help the team take the next step is crucial. Goran Dragic will be available. Does Dallas attempt to sign the veteran point guard?
