Dallas Mavericks: Will they bring back Trey Burke next season?
Why the Dallas Mavericks should bring back Trey Burke
Burke brought the Mavs a different element in Orlando. His quickness immediately stood out. It allowed Dallas to get out in transition more and created some easy baskets. That helped keep the offensive rolling even when dealing with injuries. His energy and effort were contagious in Orlando. Burke was fighting for rebounds and giving the entire team a boost. That was a welcomed sight and further endeared him to his teammates.
The 27-year-old is a professional scorer. He can create shots for himself and others. He gives Dallas a secondary playmaker when Luka Doncic is on the floor. Burke can also be the lead guard in the second unit. He is an outstanding pick and roll ball handler that has no issues beating his man off the dribble. His confidence to keep firing never waivers.
Burke is an offensive weapon. He locked in more on the defensive end during the restart. That is a positive going forward.
Dallas Mavericks should bring back Trey Burke because he can take the pressure off Luka a bit. His quickness and playmaking ability gave the team a shot in the arm in Orlando. It would do the same in the 2020-2021 season.
