Dallas Mavericks offseason target that brings toughness: 2. Montrezl Harrell

Harrell could go from foe to friend this offseason. He is an unrestricted free agent. The Sixth Man of the Year finalist averaged 18.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 27.8 minutes per game this season. Harrell plays without outstanding energy and effort on both ends of the court.

The 26-year-old is an elite roll man. He joined Steven Adams in the top ten most efficient with at least two possessions per game. Harrell offers a scoring element that no other player on this list can match.

He is a fantastic defender and rebounder too. Harrell was 15th in the NBA in FiveThirtyEight’s defensive RAPTOR. Fans can read all reasons the Mavericks should sign him this offseason here.

Montrezl Harrell will be one of the most interesting free agents to watch this offseason. The class lacks All-Star level talents. Harrell is coming off two straight seasons of making $6 million a year. What is his market value considering some teams will be unwilling to spend after losing money during the novel coronavirus pandemic?

The Dallas Mavericks will be interested if the price is right. Montrezl Harrell would bring plenty of toughness with his skilled game.
