Dallas Mavericks: Biggest questions heading into the offseason

Biggest offseason question for the Dallas Mavericks: 3. Can they bring back Burke?
The Mavs signed Trey Burke after Willie Cauley-Stein opted out of the Orlando restart. The point guard was familiar with the team. He came over as part of the Kristaps Porzingis in Jan. 2019. Burke played well over 25 games before departing a free agent after the season. Things did not work out in Philadelphia leaving him available to the Mavericks.
The 27-year-old has been outstanding in the bubble. He averaged 12.0 points, 3.8 assists, and 1.1 steals in 23.9 minutes per during the eight seeding games. Burke took it to another level against the Clippers in the playoffs.
His speed and playmaking ability have given the Mavericks a new dimension. Luka Doncic can play off the ball a bit with Burke creating. His quickness has allowed Dallas to get some easy buckets in transition too. Burke’s energy, effort, and leadership have sparked the Mavericks. He would be the perfect sixth man in Dallas next season.
Burke is heading into free agency once again. He earned another contract during the Walt Disney World restart. The question is will Dallas be able to bring him back, or will Burke get a larger deal elsewhere? It is certainly something to watch this offseason.
