2020 NBA Draft mock 4.0: First 31 picks post lottery

2020 NBA Draft mock #25: Oklahoma City Thunder (via Nuggets)- Jahmi’us Ramsey
The Thunder were a surprise playoff team this season. Most expected them to be firmly in the lottery and selling off veterans at the trade deadline. Danilo Gallinari is an unrestricted free agent after their postseason run. Dennis Schroder and Steven Adams will be entering the final year of their deals. Will Oklahoma City choose to rebuild after this season?
The answer to that question could drastically sway their pick here. Let us assume, they run it back with Chris Paul, Schroder, and Adams on the roster. The Thunder will be searching for wing and forward help.
Jahmi’us Ramsey gives them an outstanding floor spacer. He connected on 42.6 percent of his 141 3-point attempts this season. Oklahoma City has three capable playmaking guards. They need shooters around them.
Ramsey averaged 15.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.3 steals in 31.2 minutes per game during his lone season at Texas Tech. The 6’4 guard is long, quick, and athletic. NBA teams will be intrigued by his defensive potential despite him being raw on that end of the floor.
They will be hoping he transforms into a 3-and-D wing quickly. Ramsey’s shooting should earn him minutes on opening night. He could be a solid starter for the next decade-plus. The Thunder take that chance at 25 overall.
