2020 NBA Draft mock 4.0: First 31 picks post lottery

2020 NBA Draft mock #14: Boston Celtics (via Grizzlies)- Patrick Williams
The Celtics have four picks in the 2020 NBA Draft including three first-rounders. That gives Boston a lot of flexibility. They have Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kemba Walker locked in as their big three. Marcus Smart and Gordon Hayward make it an outstanding top five for the Celtics.
Boston likely makes a trade or goes with at least one draft and stash player. They already have ten players under contract without counting the team option on Semi Ojeleye or the player options for Hayward and Enes Kanter. Adding three first-round picks virtually fills their roster.
Patrick Williams gives the Celtics a massive upside talent that will likely be placed in the G League to develop. The 19-year-old is 6’8 and 225 pounds. He has length and athleticism that will excite NBA teams. The hope is he grows into a player that can defend all five positions.
Williams did not start a game at Florida State this season. He managed to average 1.0 steal and 1.0 block in just 22.5 minutes per game.
There is plenty of offensive upside too. Williams could blossom in Boston. The Celtics have done well at developing talent. They take the combo forward with the hopes of making him a key piece of their title run a few seasons down the line.
