Dallas Mavericks takeaway from Game 2 win over Clippers: 5. Boban dominates Harrell

Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle found the perfect moment to insert Boban Marjanovic. The 7’4 center dominated Clippers Sixth Man of the Year candidate Montrezl Harrell in game two.

Bobi entered the game with 2:41 left in the first quarter. By the time he went back to the bench, Marjanovic had ten points and eight rebounds on five of six shooting from the field in 7.6 minutes of action. Only one basket came after Zubac re-entered the game. Fans can see the lone make here.

Boban was getting position in the paint and making the Clippers pay on both ends of the floor.

The 7’4 big man finished with 13 points and nine rebounds in just ten minutes of action. It was a playoff performance to remember for Marjanovic. The Mavs also outscored the Clippers by 12 in his time on the floor. They have struggled on the glass against LA, so Bobi came up massive in limiting the opposition to one shot in game two.

Coach Carlisle is always cautious with Boban Marjanovic’s minutes. He earned a few more with his stellar performance on Wednesday, though. It will be something to monitor going forward.
