How Dallas Mavericks guard Seth Curry matches up against Clippers

Curry missed the most recent meeting between the two teams. He has been dealing with leg soreness in the bubble. The 29-year-old sat out three of the Mavs seven seeding games so far. Hopefully, he is fully healthy in the playoffs.

The first time the Mavericks and Clippers matched up was before Seth Curry got back into the starting five. He hit five of eight from the field for 13 points in 18.5 minutes in that November showdown.

Curry shot well in the second meeting but was limited to 19.3 minutes in January. He finished with eight points on three of six from the field.

Lines.com notes that Curry averages 5.7 fewer points against the Clippers over the last two years than his 2019-2020 mark of 12.5 per game.

On the defensive end, Curry has not matched up a significant amount against any Clipper. Expect him to take on whoever is in the backcourt. Be that Patrick Beverley or Landry Shamet. Curry needs to stay concentrated on his assignment because both players will burn Dallas if left open.

Fans should monitor his health over the series too. The Dallas Mavericks do not have a chance of pulling the upset without a healthy Seth Curry. Expect him to play, but being 100 percent may be a stretch at this moment.
