2020 NBA Draft mock 3.0: Which player will Dallas Mavericks select?

NBA Mock Draft #13: New Orleans Pelicans- Aaron Nesmith
The Pelicans are building a solid core around Zion Williamson. Bringing back Brandon Ingram as he heads into restricted free agency this offseason will be priority number one for New Orleans. They have a lot of young talent and former All-Star Jrue Holiday on the roster too.
Nesmith is one of the best shooters in the 2020 NBA Draft class. He hit 41.0 percent on his 290 3-point tries over his two seasons at Vanderbilt. His catch and shoot chops have NBA scouts excited. Nesmith should earn minutes as a floor spacer from the moment he is drafted.
A foot injury coupled with the novel coronavirus pandemic limited him to just 14 games this season. The numbers were outstanding, but it is a small sample. He averaged 23.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 0.9 blocks in 35.7 minutes per game while shooting 51.2 percent from the field.
Teams will be salivating about his potential as a 3-and-D wing. Nesmith is 6’6 with length. There are a few questions about his defensive game, though. That is where he will need to makes strides to unlock his potential. The 20-year-old’s shooting ability will see him taken in the lottery. Here the Pelicans grab him to help space the floor for Zion and Ingram in New Orleans.
