Free agency options for Dallas Mavericks to scout at NBA Disney: 4. Montrezl Harrell

Harrell is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the conclusion of the season. He was producing the best numbers of his career before the NBA suspended play. Harrell averages 18.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 27.8 minutes per game this season.

He and Lou Williams form one of the best pick and roll combinations in the league. The 26-year-old is the roll man 17 percent of the time and produces 1.31 points per possession according to NBA Stats. That ranks in the top 20 percent in the league.

The Mavericks value vertical spacing. Harrell would be a stellar pick and roll partner for Luka Doncic. The Mavs could even stagger the minutes to let the 26-year-old dominate opposing second units. That strategy frees Harrell up to continue scoring 18-plus per game while getting shots for Luka and KP.

The market for the current Clippers big man will be fascinating. He is a skilled player that can cause problems for the opposition. The value of centers that do not space the floor is falling, though. Andre Drummond was traded for a second round pick at the deadline. The Mavs could swoop in and grab Harrell at a discount if things fall right. They will be keeping an eye on him in Orlando.
