Dallas Mavericks secret weapon heading into Orlando: 3. Seth Curry

Seth Curry flies under the radar. Few recognize he is one of if not the best shooter in the NBA. Curry hit 45.3 percent from 3-point range so far this season. That boosted his career percentage to 44.3 which is second in league history.

Curry was more dangerous as the season wore on. Looking at just the 28 games he played after the calendar flipped to 2020, Curry averaged 15.8 points per game while shooting 55.0 percent from the field and 50.9 percent on his threes. The 29-year-old is one of the NBA’s top marksman. The Mavericks want him to find that rhythm during training camp 2.0 in Orlando.

Curry also came up big on numerous occasions last postseason for the Portland Trail Blazers. He helped them reach the Western Conference Finals. The veteran guard will be looking to repeat that feat with the Mavericks this season.

Seth Curry is one of the Mavs secret weapons heading into Orlando. Expect him to start and hit plenty of open 3-pointers as defenses sell out to stop Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. Curry is an underrated defender too. Expect him to make a massive impact during NBA Disney.
