2020 NBA Draft prospect set for best career: 1. Anthony Edwards

Edwards is the type of athlete that leaps off the screen. He lists at 6’5 and 225 pounds with the explosion to throw down a poster dunk on anyone. Edwards will attack the rim and finish inside in the NBA.

Do not get too caught up in his college numbers. They were strong, but Edwards lacked shooters around him. Expect the numbers to tick up with proper floor spacers playing off him in the NBA.

Edwards likely finishes as the best player in this class. If he becomes a league-average 3-point shooter, the former Bulldog wing could be a 20 point per game scorer in the NBA and a plus defender. Add in his ability as a secondary creator and strong rebounder to make him a multiple-time All-Star.

The 2020 NBA Draft class may not have a ton of high-end talent, but all five players listed and others will make an impact. There will be some surprises. That is what makes the draft so intriguing. Any team could change its franchise on draft night.
