Ranking Dallas Mavericks impact if they miss NBA Orlando: 15. Dwight Powell

Powell would not be last on this list during normal circumstances, but he tore his Achilles in January. The 28-year-old will continue rehabbing in hopes of returning for the opening night of the 2020-2021 season. The injury will force Powell to miss the resumption making him the least impactful in this ranking.

Hopefully, he heads to Orlando with his teammates. Powell’s work ethic and leadership will still be important for the young Mavericks. They have the option to keep him rehabbing in Dallas, though. Stay tuned to see what happens when the Mavs depart for Disney.

Ranking Dallas Mavericks impact if they miss NBA Orlando: 14. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

The Mavs signed MKG in February after he was bought out by the Hornets. The 26-year-old played in just nine games with Dallas before play was suspended. Kidd-Gilchrist struggled to find his footing. He missed the Mavericks final three games too.

MKG is a plus defender but does not offer much on the other end. It will be interesting to see if he has a more consistent role after the restart. If not, Kidd-Gilchrist will be out of the rotation in the playoffs and hoping for mop-up duty.
