NBA Mock Draft #25: Oklahoma City Thunder (via Nuggets)- Jahmi’us Ramsey

Ramsey had a strong season playing for Texas Tech. The 19-year-old averaged 15.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.7 blocks in 31.2 minutes per game. Ramsey shot 44.2 percent from the field, 42.6 percent on his 3-pointers, and 64.1 percent from the free throw line.

The former Red Raiders’ length and athleticism jump off the screen. He lists at 6’4 and 195 pounds with a 6’10 wingspan. Ramsey throws down a strong highlight reel because of his athletic ability.

The 19-year-old shot the ball well this season. He is best in catch and shoot situations. Ramsey has also shown the ability to drive and score when teams run him off the 3-point line. Those two skills will have NBA teams interested.

Ramsey is another high ceiling prospect that may not be ready for a massive role right out of the gate. He needs to continue improving on both ends of the floor. Making strides in his shooting and playmaking would go a significant way. Ramsey also must be more consistent on the defensive end.

The Thunder could use him as a long-term piece playing next to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in the backcourt. Adding Ramsey in the 2020 NBA Draft gives them just that.
