The final two players will likely not be in Dallas long. Their departure seems imminent through trade or free agency.

2. Courtney Lee

Lee’s inclusion here should come as no surprise. The Mavericks put him on the trade block moments after acquiring him from the Knicks in the Porzingis deal. Nothing materialized, though.

Lee is set to become a free agent after this season. His only hope of returning to Dallas would be on a veteran minimum deal in an end of the bench leadership role.

1. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

The Mavericks signed Michael Kidd-Gilchrist after he was bought out by the Charlotte Hornets in February. The 26-year-old has played just 71 total minutes with the Mavs, though. He may be insurance for the playoffs.

Given his limited minutes and meager production, MKG may not be on the Mavs roster past this season. It will be interesting to see what teams are bidding as he enters free agency.
