Williams’ 2019-2020 highlights

There is a lot of upside to the game of Patrick Williams. The freshman forward took a little time to adjust to college but started to come on before the season was ultimately canceled. Williams certainly has a ways to go before being a high-level NBA player, but he can do a little bit of everything.

Williams does an excellent job of using his length (6’11 wingspan) and superior athleticism to act as a great individual and team defender. He is an intelligent player who does not often make mistakes on either side of the ball.

On offense, he is a great cutter off-ball. He will need to focus on improving his shot, handle, and strength to become a solid starter at the next level. Williams made major strides over the course of his freshman season at Florida State giving good reason to be optimistic about his continued development. The fact that he is one of the younger players in the class helps too.
