Kleber is a versatile offensive player. He averaged 9.2 points, 1.5 offensive rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.6 3-pointers made in 25.7 minutes per game. He shot 45.9 percent from the field, 37.4 percent on his 3-pointers, and 86.3 percent from the free throw line. That does not tell the entire story, though.
Kleber fits extremely well in the Mavericks offense. He can stretch the floor. The 28-year-old connected on 37.9 percent of his catch and shoot threes this season. Kleber can also play as the roll man. He scored 1.4 points per possession in those situations this season according to NBA Stats. That put him just outside the top ten percent in the NBA. He also does work on the offensive glass and can pass a bit.
Kleber’s advanced metrics were quite favorable. He produced 2.9 offensive win shares which ranked 57th in NBA. Kleber was 88th in offensive box score plus-minus. He produced an incredible offensive rating of 123 too.
Offensive grade: A
Maxi Kleber was outstanding on the offensive end of the floor in his role. He provided floor spacing and a threat as a roll man. Kleber also attacked the offensive glass and produced strong advanced metrics. Adding it all up leads to an A grade here for the Mavs big man.
