1. Starting his first All-Star game

Luka Doncic was voted in to start the All-Star game in 2020. He became the 31st All-Star in Mavericks’ history and just the third starter. Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Kidd are the only other two Mavs that have started in one.

It was a historic accomplishment made even more special by being 20 years old. He became the sixth youngest player to start an All-Star game in NBA history.

Doncic made the most of the weekend. He starred in Friday’s Rising Stars Game by dropping 16 points and drilling a half-court shot to beat the halftime buzzer.

Then, he started in Sunday’s main event. Luka was drafted by his idol LeBron James. He threw him a lob in the first quarter that Doncic will likely never forget.

It was a special night for Luka and Mavericks fans. The young superstar deserved the honor. It was the first of many to come. Read more about his first All-Star game here.

Next. Star players will want to join Luka in Dallas

Luka Doncic gave fans many memorable moments during the 2019-2020 season. There could be more to come later this summer. If not, Mavericks fans should be excited about the future in Dallas with Luka leading the charge. It should only be up from here.
