Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic scored 29 points in their road victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Jan. 27. Here is a look at his performance.

The Dallas Mavericks wrapped up a short road trip on Monday against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Mavs split the first two games. It was also the opening of a back-to-back set for Dallas. They host the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.

The Thunder were just one game back of Dallas in the Western Conference standings coming in. The Mavericks needed a win to hold onto the fifth spot.

It was a difficult night to focus on the game. The tragic death of Kobe Bryant was still front of mind. Thunder point guard Chris Paul missed Monday’s game for personal reasons. He was grieving the death of his Olympic teammate and friend.

The two teams also celebrated him by taking eight and 24-second violations to start the game.


The Mavericks got out to another fast start on Jan. 27. They led three at the end of the first and never looked back. The Mavs secured a 107-97 victory over Oklahoma City on Monday. Delon Wright, Kristaps Porzinigis, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Maxi Kleber all scored in double-figures.

Luka Doncic once again led the way, though. He finished with 29 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, and five 3-pointers made in 33 minutes of action. Luka was ten of 24 from the field and hit four of his seven free throws. Here is a closer look at his performance and highlights against the Thunder.
