Dallas Mavericks fans witnessed a flurry of offseason movement throughout the NBA. Here is a look at where the former Mavs will play next season.
Dallas Mavericks supporters entered the offseason with hopes that the team would land another All-Star caliber talent. The type of player pushes them into title contention in the coming year. Fans quickly found out that would not be the case.
The front office instead filled a few roster holes and brought back their talent that was on the market. The Mavs retained Seth Curry for his second stint in Dallas. They added Delon Wright and Boban Marjanovic. Dallas re-signed Kristaps Porzingis, Maxi Kleber, Dwight Powell, Dorian Finney-Smith, and J.J. Barea.
The Mavs appear on the fringes of playoff contention for the 2019-2020 season. Mavericks fans know all that, though.
The offseason moves happened fast this summer. The NBA moved up the start of free agency to June 30 at 6 p.m. ET. The majority of the star players agreed to contracts before the calendar even flipped to July 1.
