Through their 39 seasons of operation, the Dallas Mavericks have cultivated their fair share of prolific scorers. These are the top-15 in their history.

In the final two games of his brilliant career, Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki turned back the clock and gave us a glimpse of the transcendent player he was in his prime.

Sure, those outings were against the woeful Phoenix Suns and a San Antonio Spurs team with little to play for and yes, the Mavericks basically spoon-fed Nowitzki the rock. That being said, both performances served as the perfect send-off for a player who not only vitalized a desolate franchise, but also reshaped the narrative surrounding European players.

There wasn’t much to cheer for prior to the Nowitzki era, but even the most unwatchable Mavericks teams trotted at least one player who could keep the offense afloat with some sort of scoring production.

Whether players converted their field goals via post-ups, pull-ups, drives to the basket, layups, dunks or 3-pointers, more than a few Mavericks players exhibited the ability to put the ball through the net on a fairly consistent basis.

Obviously, some were better than others, but like every NBA team, the Mavericks have always had someone on the roster who could fill the scoreboard. But which ones were the best at it?

Okay, we all know who will likely be at the top of this list, but there’s plenty of room to remember some players that you may have forgotten or, depending on your age, have never heard of.

In that spirit, this list will rank the greatest scorers Mavericks franchise history. Hopefully, this list will inspire you to go out and learn more about some of these guys or look back at some of their all-time great performances.
