4. Sixth player since 2000 to grab 1000 points

Like fans have all seen and loved to watch, Luka Doncic is a scoring menace. Whether it was a step-back 3-pointer or a shot from the logo, fans usually saw it fall inside the hoop. No matter how many double teams the opposition creates, Luka would always find a way to get through it and score not for him, but for his team.

That was why on Feb. 2, 2019, Luka Doncic scored 35 points in a blowout win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Not only was that a new career high for him, but it also helped him achieve 1000 points in his NBA career.

Doncic joined the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Devin Booker, and Dwight Howard who all scored 1000 points before turning 20 years old. To be compared to such a high class of players should be a huge honor for the rookie sensation.

3. Finished with 4.2 million All-Star votes

The Luka Doncic fan club has significantly increased since his time in the NBA. People don’t know what would be the best nickname to give to such a player that can do anything at such a young age, with various possibilities including Step-back Jack and even Wonderboy as well as multiple more.

With the crazy fan base, Luka ended up receiving 4.2 million votes to be a starter in the NBA All-Star Game, something that hasn’t happened for a rookie since Blake Griffin in 2011. Not only was the total count for his ballot somewhere around 4.2 million votes, but it was also second most votes in the Western Conference and third in the entire league.

Even with the high abundance of votes, Doncic was neither voted into the All-Star game as a starter nor was he chosen as a reserve by coaches. Being Luka, he calmly let go of it and had his own fun during the NBA All-Star Break.
