ESPN has given statistical projections for seven key members of the Dallas Mavericks roster. Do we think they will over/under-achieve against expectations?

It’s a good time to be a Mavericks fan. Ok, maybe not as good as it was back in the glory days of 2011, but for the first time in a long time, Dallas has a core of promising young players. Bid farewell to the dark days of veteran reclamation projects (see: David Lee/Andrew Bogut) and welcome the fresh and exciting youth movement.

This season, we will be offered a glimpse into what the future holds for our crew in blue. Aside from seeing what our prized rookie DSJ can do, we’ll find out if Harrison Barnes can take the next step as a primary option on offense. Additionally, the play of Seth Curry and Nerlens Noel in their contract years will decide whether their NBA journeys will continue in Dallas.

Curious about what folks outside of Dallas think of the team, I looked up ESPN’s statistical projections for the Mavericks roster and assessed whether they were fair given the projected starting lineup, contract situations and available playing time.

As many of us know, the Mavericks are often overlooked by national media. Will this be any different? Click below to find out.

Next: Harrison Barnes
