20.) Dennis Smith Jr. – Dallas Mavericks

The sensational rookie for the Dallas Mavericks will get the reigns on day one under the leadership of Rick Carlisle. His athleticism and scoring ability is right there with the best of his rookie class and with a stellar rookie campaign, could move up this list drastically.

19.) Lonzo Ball – Los Angeles Lakers

Ball was the second overall pick for a reason and has the passing ability that few have seen coming out of college. He will provide entertainment in Los Angeles, but will need to prove he can score at an above average level in the NBA.

18.) Markelle Fultz – Philadelphia 76ers

Fultz was the number one overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft and therefore has to be above both Ball and Smith Jr. at this point. Although Simmons is supposedly running the point, I’m leaving Fultz in this category for rankings purposes only.

17.) Jeff Teague – Minnesota Timberwolves

Minnesota swung for the fences this offseason and put together a team that should make the playoffs this coming season. Although I would have rather had Rubio on this team over him, Teague gives the Wolves a scoring threat at point that Rubio didn’t provide.

16.) Dennis Schroder – Atlanta Hawks

With the moves in Atlanta over the summer, Schroder now becomes the Hawks’ best player. He played well in the playoffs and should continue to improve on his game moving forward as the primary scoring option.
