Top 10 Potential 2018 Free Agents For Dallas Mavericks

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
In one of the weirder stories of free agency, Caldwell-Pope ended up signing a one year deal worth around $18 million with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The one thing that Caldwell-Pope’s situation does prove is that he was a restricted free agent that had his free agent rights renounced by Detroit in free agency. Could a similar situation happen next summer with another restricted free agent of his caliber?
Caldwell-Pope is a 24-year-old shooting guard that is 6’5″. With his strengths in outside shooting and defense, he would fit nicely alongside of Smith Jr..
His situation will be interesting next summer as teams circle back around to him once again on the free agent market looking for long-term deals. I like KCP, but not enough to hand him $18-20 million a year.
