As weird as it sounds, Gary Harris could have been the reason Kevin Love isn’t in Denver and Paul George isn’t in Cleveland. Denver might not have been willing to give up Harris in a deal to get Love…which says a lot about the value of Harris.
Harris is a 6’4″ shooting guard that put up career numbers across the board in Denver last season. Harris is in a similar situation as Parker and Wiggins as he is eligible for an extension that could result in restricted free agency if no terms are agreed to.
I don’t expect Harris to hit the free agent market next summer but if he does, Dallas could push Denver’s hand with a large contract with the hopes of pairing him with Smith Jr. moving forward.
