Donatas Motiejunas (26)

It is always fun to steal players from the Houston Rockets and Motiejunas would be no exception. D-Mo was a solid player for the Rockets back in 2014-15 and had a couple good years with the team before that before falling off the map a little bit. After two injury-plagued seasons, Motiejunas now has no idea what may be coming for his career.

At 7-feet tall, D-Mo has had an interesting career full of low rebounding numbers, almost 0 blocks, and reasonable but unspectacular shooting. Nevertheless, Dallas could take a chance on the former first round pick in hopes that his health will be better and he can get back to some of his prior success.

The Mavs may not be terribly interested in a guy like Donatas Motiejunas due to his difficult past, but if they want a cheap option with some upside, that may be the definition of D-Mo. The big Lithuanian is never going to be a stud in the league and he may never turn heads again either, but he certainly is capable of being a good role player.

This union would not work because the two genuinely may be uninterested in each other. Motiejunas is going to look for an immediate role on his new team and there are no guarantees when you play for a coach like Carlisle. He wants to play ball again in the NBA and it just may not happen for him in Dallas.
