NBA Draft Roundtable: Who Will the Mavericks Get?

Frank Ntilikina
“Ultimately, the feeling is Dallas is looking for a point guard. I have a strong inclination that French PG Frank Ntilikina will be the #9 pick. I wouldn’t mind this happening at all. Adding a point guard that is a willing passer, solid defender and slasher is a win-win.” –Emmanuel Dixon
“Dallas is regarded by many to have the best international scouting in the business and they haven’t been silent about their love for Frank Ntilikina. The 6’5” guard from France with a 7’1” wingspan can play both positions and give the Mavs versatility on the defensive side of the ball. If I had to pick a guy that I believe Dallas will select, its Ntilikina.” –Isaac Harris
Dallas Mavericks
“Dallas is in an interesting spot in this year’s draft. With the need for a point guard clearly apparent, the Mavs must target backcourt help, regardless of whether or not they think they have Jrue Holiday in their pocket.
Despite having Yogi Ferrell as a piece for the future, and J.J. Barea and Devin Harris still under contract, Dallas must amass as much talent as possible for their point guard position this offseason as possible. Ntilikina should be there for Dallas at number nine, and Dallas should not waste a second grabbing him.” –Evan Siegel
“It’s hard to tell with just a few day’s left. But if sources are right we could be drafting a PG on draft night and I think it will come down to Ntikilina or DSJ. If other sources are right which recently said that Dallas is heavy favorites to sign Jrue Holiday, a draft day surprise may be coming our way. But with Mavs luck in recent free agency. I doubt the Mavs will take a chance and pass up on the chance of drafting a guard if it is the best player available. My opinion I say that Dallas get’s the French prospect Frank Ntikilina.” –Mihajlo Knezevic
“The popular pick in many mock drafts for Dallas is the French sensation Frank Ntilikina. I think the pundits are right, the Mavs front office likes Ntilikina and he will likely fall to 9, barring any Knicks intervention. I’m not completely sold on Frank N as the PG of the future simply as he is extremely raw and we are depending on lots of player development, but it appears to be written in the stars for the Mavs and Ntilikina.” –Sam Casey
